As Brian and I approach the empty-nest phase, we’re rediscovering what it means to just be us again. With our boys growing more independent, we’ve found new ways to reconnect, leaning into our shared love of travel. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a road trip, or an adventure abroad, we find excitement in exploring new places together. It has brought us laughter too. We’ve also been reminded of the deep conversations that brought us together in the first place. This next chapter isn’t about settling into routine. It’s about embracing new experiences. We are appreciating each other in a whole new way.

The Norwegian Breakaway: Life Between Ports
June 22, 2025
Most mornings began with early alarms and quick exits. Port days that delivered stories you’ve already read. What remained between those moments was the ship.
