Roaming through Rome

Surrounded by the grandeur of Baroque fountains and ancient ruins, we were surprised by how compact these historic sites really were. It’s incredible how such monumental pieces of history are nestled so closely into the everyday rhythm of the city.

The Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica weren’t works of art; they were experiences. Every inch was breathtakingly intricate, bursting with detail. My eyes were in visual overdrive, darting from gilded frescoes to sculpted saints. So breathtaking and intricate that my eyes didn’t know where to land.

Piazza Navona is like Rome’s open-air museum. It is layered with history and architectural brilliance. The piazza is adorned with many outside eateries for a bite to eat. While dining, you can enjoy the many feasts before your eyes. These feasts are literally on your plate and figuratively in every sculpted facade and dancing fountain.
